Gobet - Latte Artist
My brother Jacob makes "Latte Art" and sends me the pics from his iPhone - here's his latest email:
Subject: Mmmmm
>
> My boss said to me after I made this, "where's your manhood?". To which I said, "I spent a year in combat as a paratrooper and Infantry teamleader, I don't need to prove my manhood to anyone, if I want to make lattes and latte art I WILL!". He said "fair enough, I'll have one, it looks good".
Jake
Incidentally, Jacob is actually a gifted mixed media artist/sculptor...but this seems to be his passion right now! Lol...My brother is awesome.

Aloe Ta-dah!
Soooo Eddie, Enso and I repotted over 50 (yes 5-0) aloe plants, I left seven big ones in the red pot. Unfortunately, Lowes didn't have the pots I needed so I had to put them in flimsy plastic ones for now (life support) and....in a few days I will undertake the adventure of putting them in their real homes and making them look pretty outside. Enjoy! Let me know if you would like to adopt one...or more...
I think I can...I think I can

The Analogous Project
I have just started soliciting talented (and I mean TALENTED) artists from my local community and from around the world to join me on a collaborative book adventure. Here are my first three artists. I promise, just one visit to their shops and you will see why I chose them!
The Analogous Project artists will choose one from the collection of short "poems" (think Edward Gorey and Shel Silverstein) I have written and create an image (or allow the use of their existing image) to tell the story of the little rhyme.
Introducing the first three artists:
Evan B. Harris "Helm and the Harpsichord" Shop link:http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6588568
Kelly Louise Judd "Two Canaries Original Oil Painting" Shop link:http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5170357
Lisa Hurwitz "Mother and Son" Shop link: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5173417
More coming soon!
Enjoy!

Devastated. Goodbye Claudia.
One of my absolute favorite artists in the world has died. I went to her site because I am ready to solicit artists for my completed series of children's books and of course I thought of her... her work inspired my own "Peculiar Girl" and "Peculiar Boy" drawings. I imagined her talent bringing my books to life and children everywhere losing themselves in her artwork. I am devastated.
Here is the excerpt from her Etsy shop:
